Much pain
So last night I decided that sitting around eating muffins and drinking coke is not the best way to use my free time. When I'm not talking to Ann, working, eating, or sleeping, going to the gym, I figure, is the best way to use my time. Thankfully, I have a high speed Staff Sergeant in my cardboard house that is a PT-aholic. I tagged along with him to the gym last night.
In our workout, we discovered that I have muscles. They are just buried beneath 40 lbs of fat. All in all, it was a good workout; I'm just in much pain as my muscles are trying to figure out why I am abusing them. Now, I knew when I pumping the iron, that my muscles would cry for mercy this morning. I knew that I wouldn't wake up and be able to lift my cardboard house over my head because change takes time.
Yesterday morning I ran 3 1/2 miles in 40 minutes. Last week I ran 2 1/2 miles in 30 minutes. So I'm slowly getting better. But we all know change takes time. And I have plenty of time; 10 months should be long enough. However, those 10 months will hopefully fly by and be over before I know it.
Things are still going good here. Nothing really going on lately. I haven't left post for any missions or ranges or anything so no worries there. Everyone here is still on edge from the bombings downtown last week and the increase in attacks, but we've been somewhat fortunate so far in avoiding any loss of life.
That's about it for now, I guess. Have fun but more imporantly stay safe.
God is good. All the time. Peace
