Home is where the Herat is

I am still alive, for those of you that are beginning to wonder. Things out here in the FOB are a little shaky at times. The Taliban seem to leave this place alone, but the fact that it is out in the middle of nowhere makes communications hard. Especially for MWR stuff like posting on your blog.

It looks like I'll be out here a little longer than expected. Which is no biggy whatsoever. I don't feel like I'm contributing a whole lot to the mission out here, but the guys that are in charge of me seem to think that I am a gift from heaven. Either way, I'm making people and that's my job.

I still have no idea when I'll be back in the states. Hopefully before July 4th so I can blow stuff up at home with my family. And I AT LEAST want to be home in time so I can drive to Fort Jackson and pick up my beautiful wife from training and whisk her away from the crappiness that is the Army.

Well, I better be shoving off and getting back to work. That's why I'm out here. Please keep praying for us troops out here in the suck fighting the war against hate. We need it. And please pray for the troops that in training, sacrificing their lives and time to keep America safe.

May God bless us all.

God is good. All the time.
Peace

Its nice to know there is still a way to contact you even if you don't ever answer my emails. :P

As always, life is treating me good but school could be a little softer now and then. I hope your doing good and that you do make it back home in time for the 4th cause I know I'll be blowing something up. I'm praying for all the troops and everything they do and have done for us. Your the man sir! Keep up the good work. Send me an email sometime if your free. I always love those war stories. Anyway, take care.

Rick
