The Ides of March

What was unlucky for Caesar turned out to be just another day in Afghanistan. No huge explosions, no out-of-the-ordinary drama, and no excitement in which to really talk about. My big trip is coming up soon, but due to our friend OPSEC, I'm not really allowed to talk about it. I'm sure you all don't mind; this ensures my plane...err, I mean mode of transportation (sorry Mr. OPSEC)...doesn't get shot at.

Of course, only 5% of Afghans have electricity (that's probably a generous number) and of those I'm sure only about 1% of that have the internet in which to read my blog. And, even if I did post every small detail about my trip, the Taliban would probably just shoot at anything and everything moving.

Regardless, I'll post about my journey once it is underway and I can feel safe about Mr. OPSEC not jumping on my rucksack and beating me to the ground.

That's honestly about it for today. I had a little humor with my favorite Major today and I got him awfully fired up. However, it's not too hard to do but it's still fun, and then Mac and I turned around and got the J-4 office all stirred up over something we had nothing to do with. It's our strategy to get them mad at other people so they won't look at us as hard.

Anyway, that's all Army humor; you would just have to be there to get it all I guess. Time for me to go write a letter to the love of my life and get some sleep. Stay safe at home everyone.

God is good. All the time.
Peace
