It can't be

I am still confused as to how television as we know it has come to a complete stop because the writers are on strike. I understand that sitcoms need a staff of writers to come up with funny sayings and one-liners; however, I am bewildered over the fact that there are writers for every show on television.

David Letterman is showing reruns because there are no writers. Are you telling me that he doesn't write his own jokes? Does anyone do their own work anymore? It's so un-understandable.

I am still confused as to how the government thinks they can come up with a solution to every problem this country faces. Money hungry "bankers" made loans to undeserving people with terms that anyone with half a brain wouldn't accept and now everyone is wondering why the economy sucks. It sucks because Americans are lazy. And the government once again steps in to save the day. I don't understand how this is supposed to fix the problem. The problem is not a slumping housing market. The problem is not a rapidly depreciating dollar. The problem is lazy Americans. Simple.

Flame away. That's how I see it.

I am just so confused.
